Anne Buter – mezzo soprano

Anne Buter, born near Cologne, studied solo singing at the Hochschule für Musik in Munich with Prof. Daphne Evangelatos and graduated with a master class diploma.

Prize winner at the Hans Pfitzner Competition in 1994 and at the international Bach Competition in Leipzig in 1996.

Concerts under Christoph Eschenbach and Sir Colin Davis, Roderich Kreile, have taken her to the Prinzregententheater, the Musikhalle in Hamburg, the Stedelijkmuseum Amsterdam, the Kings’s Hall London, the Gewandhaus in Leipzig and the Kreuzkirche in Dresden.

She has given concerts with well-known performers, including Thomas Quasthoff and the Gewandhausoktett Leipzig.

Anne Buter is a guest at international festivals: “Musicades” in Lyon, “Scarlatti Festival” in Naples, “Festival of Central European Culture” in London, the “Bachfest” in Leipzig and “La Musica” in Sarasota/Florida.

CD recordings with the Orpheus Ensemble Munich, as well as a complete recording with songs by Franz Schreker. Other recordings with the Dresdener Kreuzchor and the Gewandhaus Kammerchor.
